To prepare this drink, boil milk and add turmeric powder, cardamom powder, and honey. Cook this mixture for two to three minutes, strain, and then consume hot, an hour or half before bedtime.
- Turmeric Face Pack
The anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric make it a good choice in acne control. So, when looking for a quick home remedy to control your pimples and breakouts, you know what to include in it! Mix one spoon each of fresh aloe vera gel, Multani Mitti (fuller’s earth), honey, and lime juice along with a pinch of turmeric, to form a smooth paste. Apply to well cleansed face and rinse off after 15 minutes. Use this pack once every week to keep acne at bay.

Boil the mixture, simmer for 20 minutes, and then strain it. Add some lemon juice and honey. Consume once or twice everyday till your condition improves.

Skin allergies, especially those that are caused by dry and sensitive skin, find a friend in turmeric. Its anti-fungal and anti-oxidant properties help soothe the skin, and keep it young and supple. To prepare turmeric oil, mix freshly ground turmeric paste with organic coconut oil, and cook on medium flame till the raw smell goes away. Let the mixture cool, and then store in an airtight glass container. Give your skin a good massage with this oil, every day before your bath routine.
